Meta Transfer
Tracker Tool
A better, faster and more efficient way to track people's activity. Meta processes hundreds of thousands of movements each year. Before this tool, users would have to track data across multiple platforms manually, making for a frustrating and inefficient experience. To grow with its audience and extend its capabilities, the company has developed a robust platform to empower users to track the full cycle of any internal process, ranging from performance to career growth and everything in between.
The new tool has a new set of features, enhanced functionality, a reimagined user experience, and a refreshed visual identity along with unique visual styles and guidelines, creating a space where people can thrive and self-manage personal data securely.

My Role
I managed and led UX initiatives to support the business analyst team, the engineering team, and key stakeholders. This involved kicking off strategical workshops to identify user pain points, consultation, creating interaction and user interface design deliverables, prototyping, usability testing, investigative research, road mapping, quarterly strategical planning, and critical user journey workflows.
Alongside the art department, I also created a distinctive design library that allows teams to access pre-built components that can be easily customized to the specific needs of each product and could adapt seamlessly to any use case or team.
Problem
Users need a better way to track the progress of internal movements because accessing data through multiple sources and disparate communication channels is affecting performance and efficiency. They currently rely on multiple tools to do this, which leads to uncertainty and unnecessary business costs.
Pain points:
-
Difficulty understanding processes and time-sensitive tasks
-
Expectations on how to complete the next steps are not clear
-
Do not know where to find answers or how to get help
Challenges
Usability
The older tools need more consistency and alignment with other similar products. In addition, many crucial features are absent; filtering is limited, tracking activity needs to be clearer, updates need to be visible, and managerial approval needs improvement.
Competition
The product wasn’t considered intuitive and lacked the richness of the modern-day data tracking experience when it came to product quality, metric management, and privacy policies.
Strategy
Stakeholders should have focused more on the users and less on business goals and minimizing costs. But it was challenging for them to empathize from the user’s perspective. The misalignment was apparent during our meetings.

Solution
Build a single tool within a scalable framework for personalized experiences that can unify all data related to movements. In an intuitive and unified user experience that will increase visibility and transparency of any movement, to make all sources of data trackable under one platform.
